A Heartwrenching Absence of Bitterness

Dong Yun Yoon in San Diego

The awful U.S. military training plane crash happened a couple of neighborhoods away from where I attended high school in San Diego… and I know the specific area well.  I just watched this video and am heartbroken. By the facts, of course, but also by his language. Dong Yun Yoon, who just lost his two baby daughters, his wife and mother-in-law, seems to hold no bitterness. Listen to the grace in his language. (One of his daughters was, in fact, named Grace). Let’s see if the US military can communicate at this level (and they are going to have to say something!). Also.. it must have been so hard for this gentle man to hear the planes overhead as he spoke.
