Equally important is how to ensure the story is heard.

I loved this story in the Washington Post today (h/t Mike McPhate and The California Sun) about Rep. Doug LaMalfa (R-Calif.) who understands the power of being in the right place at the right time. When I write “being” like that it sounds passive, almost lucky. But this guy is all about actively putting himself where he needs to be to be heard — like my other right-place-right-time hero, this Girl Scout.
